VRayBmpFilter
VRayBmpFilter Overview
The VRayBmpFilter texture map is mostly useful for per-polygon displacement maps created in certain external programs (like ZBrush) where exact placement of the map is very important. The VRayBmpFilter map produces a smooth map by interpolating the bitmap pixels, but without applying any additional blurring or smoothing. This is not possible with the default Bitmap texture of 3ds Max.
Parameters
Bitmap - this is the bitmap file. This can be in any format supported by 3ds Max.
U offset - allows the user to position the bitmap more precisely; the value is in pixels of the bitmap.
V offset - allows the user to position the bitmap more precisely; the value is in pixels of the bitmap.
Flip U - flips the bitmap in the horizontal direction.
Flip V - flips the bitmap in the vertical direction.
Channel - mapping channel from which the UV coordinates are derived.
